Heirloom

Tucked away in a residential area of south Fremont, Heirloom is a traditional single-family home neighborhood consisting of 17 new homes and one restored historic home. Through careful site and architectural design, we were able to minimize privacy impacts to the neighbors and help integrate the new homes into the exiting neighborhood. We improved visibility of the historic 1930s farmhouse and tank house by moving them to the site’s main street frontage, which established a better sense of place within the community, and created a gateway landmark to the new development. The new homes designs were influenced by the historic structures, with early California and Mission architecture.
